Elsa Louise Soderberg

Elsa Louise Soderberg is the Philanthropy Director at the Elsa & Peter Soderberg Charitable Foundation (EPSCF). In her role, Elsa guides strategic grantmaking by conducting thorough due diligence and cultivating meaningful partnerships with grantees across the US and internationally. As the eldest of Peter and Elsa Soderberg’s 14 grandchildren and only the second staff member of EPSCF, Elsa brings a deep personal connection and a fresh perspective to the Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives.

Before joining the Foundation in July 2022, Elsa gained extensive experience at BlackRock, where she served as an Associate in the firm’s Institutional Client Business. There, she supported and managed relationships with some of the firm’s most prominent corporate and public pension clients, honing her expertise in strategic client engagement and service.

Elsa is an alumna of Emory University, where she graduated in 2019 with a major in Arabic and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Goizueta Business School. She is an active member of Women Moving Millions and Save the Children's 100 Strong Network, reflecting her commitment to global philanthropic leadership. Her key areas of interest include women’s empowerment and SRH, community-driven development, and climate resilience.

Deepening her passion for animal welfare and community development, Elsa founded and leads a nonprofit organization dedicated to reimagining the intersection of animal rescue, education, and community engagement, promoting holistic well-being for both humans and animals through innovative equine rescue and rehabilitation programs.

Beyond her professional and philanthropic work, Elsa enjoys traveling, exploring new creative outlets, and being active outdoors. She currently resides in Central New York.
